Dream no small dreams, for they have no power to move the hearts of men
  • .: Now here is my secret :.

I tell it to you with an openness of heart that I doubt I shall ever achieve again, so I pray you are in a quiet room as you hear these words. My secret is that I need God, that I am sick and can no longer make it alone. I need God to help me give, because I no longer seem capable of giving; to help me be kind, as I no longer seem capable of kindness; to help me love, as I seem beyond being able to love.

What do you think about when you read or hear the word freedom?

There was once a guy named Onesimus who experienced freedom.  His freedom led him back to his past.  And a confrontation with his past.

    guilty as charged

Have you ever been caught?  How did that make you feel?  Guilty?

Have you ever caught someone?  You know, like caught them “red handed”.  How did that make you feel?

This week we’ll see what happens when a group bent on purification comes face to face with grace that knows no boundaries.  And we’ll answer the question … what if condemnation is none of our business?

See you at Sojourn this week!

    sitting by the pool

What if sitting by the pool was not just a lazy way to spend the summer?  What if it was a moment of desperation?  What if the pool was not a relaxing way to spend the day, but instead was a lone man’s attempt to find healing?  What if sitting by the pool was not about spf 30 or sipping margarita’s, but was a last chance opportunity?

Next week, July 18th at Sojourn we’ll hear the story of a desperate man’s attempt to find healing and wholeness.  And then … Jesus showed up.
